Keep your Eyes Wide Open! Just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it’s not happening.

One of Childhood’s main areas is to prevent and protect children from sexual abuse. Sexual abuse and exploitation exists all over the world and has devastating consequences for the victimized child.
Paula Guillet de Monthoux is the new Secretary General for World Childhood Foundation. After a long career at UNICEF and SOS Children’s Villages she is now happy to join Childhood.
One of the many things that she likes about Childhood is that Childhood is a small organization. Small, in the best sense of the word.
– As a small organization we can be fast, we can be flexible and bold. Though we are a small organization, we have a global voice. We are being listened to, at an international level, says Paula Guillet de Monthoux.
Paula is excited to join Childhood at an exciting time, not least because the organization has matured over the past 15 years. A priority for her is to decide what Childhood should focus on in the near future. She emphasizes that she has already seen several good examples of the organization’s work.
– I want to see more of the projects that Childhood supports and I want us to show more of all the great work that we are doing. An enormous strength is that we are so close to the projects and the Children, says Paula.
