In 2003, the AMICUL Center for multidisciplinary assistance to children victims of abuse and neglect was founded. The center offers psychological counseling, social assistance, and legal and medical consulting. All activities are planned and monitored by multidisciplinary teams of professionals from the governmental as well as the non-governmental sector. Until the end of the project about 400 children victims in Moldova will benefit from specialized assistance for the purpose of psychological rehabilitation and support in legal procedures.

Family at core – empowering family support services in Chisinau

The project aims to improve the family support services offered by state professionals in Chisinau to families at risk, as well as to prospective foster and adoptive parents. A new service, the Social Assistance Service for Children and Families, has been established within the Chisinau Municipal Baby Institution. The project is estimated to reach 100 families at risk and their children who will receive counseling, training and support services.

Mamele pentru Viata works to improve the quality of life of women and children who are affected by HIV and/or drug abuse. The project targets 20 children from 5 to 12 years old who are affected by drug or alcohol abuse and 20 parents who are or have been substance abusers. The aim is to improve the relationship between the parents and their children and create a more favorable atmosphere in the families. This will be made through parenting training and training programs for the children.
