“I am proud of what Childhood has accomplished”

A lot has happened since then, but there is still a lot of work to be done. In this interview Queen Silvia tells the story of how it once started, and how she will continue working for vulnerable children.

“It has been a long, but yet a short journey. We have been working very hard and I am proud that Childhood has been able to help many vulnerable children in the world to a better future.”, says Queen Silvia.

Childhood 10 years book

Childhood releases an anniversary book celebrating its first 10 years


On the occasion of Childhood’s 10 year anniversary, we have released a book about our work to help marginalized and vulnerable children. In ten pictorial chapters, some of the 500 projects are described that Childhood has supported since its inception, with an introduction by, among others, Childhood’s founder Queen Silvia and Princess Madeleine of Sweden. The book can be ordered from bookstores all over the world.
